Haha, so here I am again, making one of my few appearances on livejournal. :P

I went to Disneyland, and that was super fun! I don't have much to say about it other than that...

I got my AP scores, and I got a 5 on APUSH, a 5 on English, and a 2 on Calc, haha. If you don't know what AP is, it means Advanced Placement- you take the class, and then at the end of the year you can take the AP Exam to get a score 1-5 (1 being the worst and 5 being the best). If you get a 3 or above on the test, you can get college credit. I was so shocked when I opened up the envelope and saw that I had gotten 5s in APUSH and English. I totally wasn't expecting it, but I guess I was way better prepared for the tests than I thought. Calc, on the other hand... I got exactly what I predicted, haha. At least I didn't get a 1. :P

I start school again in less than a month. It's kind of got me freaking out. 0.0

Oh, I just remembered, I had these two really weird dreams while I was in Chicago this weekend... In one, I went through a whole day before realizing that it was my birthday. Haha. In the other one, this guy tried to kiss me, and I totally rejected him... Like "Ummm... no." It was not a guy I know, it was just some random guy my brain made up. It was really random, haha.

So I suck at this...

Haha, yeah. I suck at updating. :P

We won the state championship for lacrosse! Woohoo! The coaches promised us that if we won, we could go to Disneyland, so we leave this Friday to go to Disneyland for the weekend. I'm really excited because I've never been before.

I managed all As for second semester! Yay!

I'm going to start my Senior year of high school in a couple of months. O.O I've been looking at college stuff and it's all got me very freaked out. I start applying for colleges and scholarships in September.

I'm an aunt! My beautiful niece was born two weeks ago. :)

I've been working as a babysitter this summer. Normally I wouldn't mind, but... These kids are turning out to be brats. Thank goodness it's just a summer job and I'll never have to see them again once school starts.

Hmmm... Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Okay, so I suck at updating. I think a monthly bullet-pointed list is about as good as it's going to get.
  • Homecoming was AWESOME! I had tons of fun, and Jacob and I rocked it on the dance floor swing dancing... He said he had a bunch of people coming up to him later asking him who I was and talking about how amazing our dancing was. :P
  • Lacrosse is going well... I feel like it's finally clicking, and I must say I've never loved playing defense more. It totally rocks my world.
  • My grandma passed away last wednesday, and the funeral was on monday. It's tough, but at the same time, she has had Alzheimer's for several years now, and she didn't even remember any of us any more. Plus she has been having a lot of health problems in the last couple of years. I imagine she is much happier now with her sanity back and without the pain of a broken-down body to deal with.
  • I am really struggling with my workload for school. I have three AP classes and an honors class, plus my two electives. I also have to get 12 service hours a semester for NHS, I am a group leader for Freshman Mentors, I am Head Choir Librarian, and I am in the District Honor Choir... I just keep telling myself that this year is all about getting into the college I want and getting a scholarship. But it's crazy. Today I left the house at 6 AM and didn't get home until 8 PM, because after school I had District Honor Choir rehearsal, then tutoring, then lacrosse practice, then a lacrosse scrimmage
  • Two things on a happier note: I have a solo in our December concert! :) It is the first solo I've gotten since elementary school, and I'm really excited, but nervous. Also, my brother's wife is pregnant! I am going to be an aunt!!!! :)

Haha, it has officially been two months since I last posted. A lot has happened. The big things I can think of:
  • I twisted my ankle a few weeks ago at lacrosse practice, and it ended up being a sprain. I was on crutches for a few days, and I couldn't go back to practice until last week. I have to wear an ankle brace every time I play from now on.
  • I got asked to homecoming a couple of weeks ago by one of my really good guy friends, Jacob. It's  tomorrow night, and I'm super excited. It's definitely going to be a blast.
  • Our choir concert was a couple of weeks ago, and we did pretty well. We have a new director this year (again) and though she's young, she knows what she's doing. Of course, we didn't have one of our songs memorized in time for the concert because she started class fifteen minutes after the bell every day, but... oh well. Hopefully she learned not to do that anymore. :P
Sorry I've been so crappy about updating, but it's probably not going to get any better. :P My Junior year is kind of eating my life right now. XP

I have a BEAST of a headache...

I have no idea why, but my head hurts... I took some Advil, and that helped a little, but not enough. I can't figure it out. Usually if I get a headache, it's because I'm dehydrated or I have low blood sugar and need to eat. But neither of those fits, and I think I would remember it if I hit my head. Maybe I'm just tired and need to go to bed, but I don't usually get headaches when I'm tired. It's weird.

Anyway... I went to the midnight release party at Barnes & Noble for Breaking Dawn on Friday night, and I stayed up until 5 am Saturday reading it. Then I slept for 5 hours and I finished it by midnight. I could have finished it way earlier in the day, but I was sad to see it end. It was undoubtedly THE best book of the series so far and one of the best (if not THE best) books I have ever read. Stephenie Meyer has been holding out on us, I think, but it makes me excited to see what she'll write next.

I just got home from a lacrosse tournament in Chicago, and I'm suffering from some serious jet lag, so it's time for bed. Anyway, it was awesome fun, and I am terrible at posting on here. :P I shall have to write more soon. :)
